Liminal Boundaries

Wednesday, November 19, 2025, is the new moon in Scorpio at 28 degrees 11’ (November 20th at 7:47 am here in Bologna, Italy). The stellium of planets in Scorpio brings us to new depths in our journeys into the underworld of shadow. Moon and Sun at 28 degrees 11’ with retrograde Mercury applying to both the lights in the watery depths (in the 4th house for the PNW away from the public). We will see a lot of the darker side of life, human behavior and experience during these next two weeks emerge into the collective awareness. The shocks that may reverberate through the collective psyche is noted by the opposition of Uranus again in Taurus (body physical throat/neck/shoulders, throat chakra) in its retrograde marking a deep penetrating interception with the power to shake us, at a minimum to shake the very earth that we stand on. Uranus in Taurus reminds us of the other forces in our environment we do not control. We merely are tasked to respond appropriately as some divine task.
Boundaries are dissolving with Saturn and Neptune in Pisces at 25 and 29 degrees. There is the potential to feel in this lunar month a lot of emotional overwhelm with something that appears as a highly disruptive stimulus. Where will you seclude yourself from the crowds to give your system a much needed reprieve? With the North Node in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer the strongest element we have in an abundance is the element of water. Our feeling nature, our feminine flow and our intuition is amplified this month. The dangers are what actually penetrates our psyches and to what degree of benevolence or other? Not all contacts are benevolent. A word of caution for who crosses our paths or spending too much time with people that do not reciprocate a calming energy. Trauma bonds may reveal to us their deeper roots, perhaps there are lessons to gather at this time with this trine of water. What might we gather from the places now visible that would have otherwise been buried deep within the shadows of our minds? Where do your dreams and quiet meditations take you while reflecting. This is the landscape of soul work in the dark corners. Obsessions, possessiveness, betrayals, wounds of our feminine capacities. Toxic connections may drain our personal batteries. It’s a time of great exposure and vulnerability so take care of your energy and protect your mind from too much distraction and disruption from the outside world. This is a month for the deepest reflections and considering where your instincts are working for you to protect you. Mars in Sagittarius is also a warrior with a spear. What are your beliefs and philosophies? How is your life challenged to weigh either beliefs or your personal philosophy you’ve carefully created over the years? Perhaps something new emerges, especially from within that challenges you in new ways and disturbs your unconscious (Uranus in Taurus to the stellium in Scorpio), take time to reflect on it! Challenge yourself to eliminate one obsessive habit, be the initiator of your own transformation (rather than just being activated by someone else to do so) towards a better self by the next new moon in Sagittarius (December 19th). This IS the time to do the therapy that you perhaps have put aside. The universe is fundamentally MIND, take time to care for it all with LOVE.

With 3iATLAS recently doing a cosmic flyby of Mars, Earth, Venus and then going behind our sun, perhaps you’ve wondered about the implications of this interstellar object within the context of the Hermetic Principle of Correspondence…”As above so below, as below so above, as within, so without…” It’s a good time to consider what else is being seeded within us as 3iATLAS appeared with tails (shedding material) after the contact with our sun. We are observing something fantastic about how humanity receives something from the DEPTHS of space and we are still coming to understand what it is. The spin behavior of 3iATLAS of recent is quite interesting to ponder about what emerges from the unconscious (the path of 3iATLAS prior to our discovery of it July 1, 2025) and what we are coming to understand about ourselves in the observation. Consider watching Ray’s AstroPhotography for having a closer view. And the recent videos over October and November that Stefan Burns has produced on 3iATLAS. Stefan’s in depth work gives us a great overview of the sun spots and corona mass ejections (CME’s) tell us that what we see outside us happening with OUR SUN should also give you insight on what is happening with the internal sun of our inner plane. We all have the inner sun. The transits may be external in the heavens as I share them at the new and full moon cycles, but truly moment to moment the transits are internal and relative to you from the point of your nativity. Where is the sign of Scorpio and Sagittarius in your chart? It is a good time to consider where the inner sun (our inner sun) illuminates something within us. With this sun in Scorpio and the new moon in Scorpio its taking consciousness to deeper places within the psyche. For some this can bring new depths of psychic awareness and feeling the nature of intuition will reach deeper and further magnetize what one may receive. It is a great time for probing your own unconscious mind to go deeper with understanding myth, understanding images, and dreams. Deeper symbols emerge for us at this time. We can bring penetrating questions to the table right now. Investigating and probing (Mars in Sagittarius) taking us on deeper journeys within if prompted to do so with our action and focus. What I appreciate about Stefan Burns YouTube channel is that he actively shares the “Explore the Cosmos Within” on his T-shirts and his channel has been increasing its visibility broadcasting the solar flares (really huge lately) and 3iATLAS and thus this combination of observing what he is sharing in his observation shows us one example of many how humanity is becoming more conscious. His channel continues to grow rapidly. Where else have you observed life on earth (humanity) is becoming more conscious? I think while Saturn-Neptune in Pisces complete their cycle synodic cycle before their conjunction in Aries February 20, 2025, we will have increasing and greater insights because the boundaries, the veils of separation are dissolved to a degree where we have greater and greater access to it all. Remember, Pisces is the zodiac sign that is an amalgamation of the entire zodiac and when we include Saturn (that’s the structure of the illusion of (maya) and Neptune in Pisces is the surrender, because truly there is nothing to resist the magnetism. Our inner (and outer) structure is being touched by what we have magnetically called from within – at some point in our collective time and space – likely around the time of the pandemic when billions of us were forced to stop our usual daily routines. WE are part of earth and earth’s magnetic feel, we are not separate from it. When our magnetic poles shift, even a degree, so do we. How many degrees has the magnetic North shifted since your birth? Do you see the shift on the map into the eastern hemisphere? Perhaps more interesting and important is the speed of the shift accelerating is incredibly interesting! Neptune in Pisces is the flood from within our deeper desire states of mind, it symbolizes while in Pisces the unconscious. Saturn and Neptune in Aries is the FIRE and phoenix of us rebirthing ourselves including our structure within our new awareness of ourselves. Consider how perfect this is after an extended time where we all (pandemic time indoors) had moments of greater self reflection.
The current Mercury retrograde (Mercury as Psychopomp) is useful for deep dives of our soulful journeys into the Self. We may retrieve something about ourselves that is only now ready to emerge. It is only ready to emerge now – because if it came before we could have frightened ourselves too much for the evolutionary growth that is now ready. The roots are deep, this spring the first leaves appear especially as 3iATLAS flies by Jupiter (Zeus) March 16, 2026, touching at the point of its greatest degree of exaltation (15 degrees Cancer) just after Jupiter is stationing direct from its current retrograde, which means we will be ready to expand (soul) in new ways. Jupiter stations direct March 10, 2026. We will see our growth. I cannot help but think of the importance of liminal figures for us at this time. Collectively we have access to these liminal figures, these include Mercury (Greek Hermes) (as Psychopomp, with his helmet of invisibility (petasos – πέτασος), winged shoes (pteróenta pédila) and caduceus (κηρύκειο), Anubis, Egyptian god of the afterlife known for the weighing of the heart ceremony, to Charon who requires a silver coin to cross the river Styx. And new liminal figures I’ve come aware of while in Italy are St. Christopher (Reprobus) and Dionysus. St. Christopher has emerged in a subtle yet profound way for me as a liminal figure in my stay here for a few months in Bologna, Italy. (*Note: I am in an 8th house profection year until my solar return on December 18th, with my natal Mars in Pisces in the 12th house I find that this year has been the deepest yet in understanding the psyche and what has been emerging from the depths not for outside sharing but for me in my integration of something deeper). Though I may at some time in the future emerge with a sharing that is appropriately timed. The symbolism of Reprobus becoming St. Christopher in his service of carrying travelers across the river, one moment especially transformative carrying the weight of the sins of the world with the Christ child upon his shoulders. How his staff bloomed when he reached the other shore. What powerful symbolism is held within this legend or myth of St. Christopher. Reading it makes me wonder – who is the HERMIT?! The word hermit comes from the Latin ĕrēmīta, the latinisation of the Greek ἐρημίτης (erēmitēs), “of the desert”, which in turn comes from ἔρημος (erēmos), signifying “desert”, “uninhabited”, hence “desert-dweller”; adjective: “eremitic”. Sounds like the prep time before ministry from another perspective (Jesus in the desert). The place of spiritual revolution. The desert is where one has no distractions and has the opportunity for direct connection with God.
I ponder the billions of prayers that have been whispered to St. Christopher over the centuries in the Age of Pisces. The numerous metaphorical rivers St. Christopher has crossed carrying the weight of the sins (αμαρτίες) of the world (κόσμος pronounced kósmos) is quite an inconceivable weight or burden, don’t you think?
Missing the mark, the missing marks of the world (αμαρτίες του κόσμου) when you look at the Greek it is pronounced kósmos. What is this? How much meaning do we miss without the original Greek?
The volume of power magnetized within the icon of St. Christopher is powerful, perhaps not with the same depth and breadth of Mercury (Hermes) Ερμής, but still powerful. The recent insight on St. Christopher Άγιος Χριστόφορος has led me into exploring the asteroids in my nativity and others and via transits and progressions of other important gods and goddesses and saints in my astrology research. It makes me wonder where all the Christophe asteroids are with all my friends and patrons. It makes me wonder about so much more detail than I have yet traversed as an astrologer! I cannot help but be profoundly awed by the power of our minds at work in this world and what we observe and create from our desires! Oh the places we will go!
