It brings a surprising shift for us all within the element of earth with Uranus in Taurus in an easy flow aspect with Mars, Mercury, Sun, and the Moon. Significant bursts of energy in grounded earth energy. Uranus brings the unpredictable element. It is an expression of divine energy outside of our will power, but something we all collectively participate. This combination of planetary transits in this easy trine aspect can emerge as earthquakes. Places with a cardinal energy such as Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, and Libra as an angle will have this shaking type of events.
Mars at 26 Capricorn is at the midheaven within 5 degrees (in the PNW chart of this new moon). Mars is in a wide opposition with Jupiter in Cancer (retrograde) at 18 degrees 58 minutes. This opposition is an energy confrontation between protection and balancing the opposite from what comes through disruption. There is a challenge that is presented by a public presence and the safety of home (homeland). Authority (Capricorn) shifts in unexpected ways. How will we see this manifest in the world or our communities? Each new moon brings carry over from the prior lunar month, like the unfolding of cause and effect. However the patterns are not linear in their unfolding, they are spiral. It is just that we collectively do not all recall the pattern that is emerging in the present, something new for our evolutionary growth as a collective humanity. Many do recall and that is the difference that appears in the field. Those who can see the historical patterns repeating, and those who do not. I think now we are seeing this in what we observe in our world. Absolutely seeing patterns of the past emerging. You may ask, for what purpose? Consider one simple word. Evolution. And the simple question, are you evolving? Mercury in Capricorn conjunct Mars and beginning to separate still has an edge to it, the chronological momentum of unfolding. We may be working to shed the frustration or agitation of the energy merged with Mars. Mars in Capricorn is enduring. Mercury activates the need for a longer term plan and strategy as it passes Mars in the transit cycle. In Capricorn, there is a plan set with strategy given the goal to achieve through a timeline of milestones. We all have masculine and feminine energy that operates in cycles and with touch points of observation of understanding ourselves through a journey spiral to understand something about ourselves in this dimension which reveals patterns in matter. In short, the physicality of the non-physical made visible. What materializes might appear to be distorted from a lens of disconnection, but connected it provides a new vision, a new reality as it must as the nature of things. As distortion fades, the essence in truth is revealed. Are we on the precipice of this gnosis being more widespread through humanity?
Venus in Aquarius at 1 degrees is applying to a conjunction with Pluto at 3 degrees, conjunct the purifying quality of Vesta. Venus on the approach to deep transformation, and the dissemination of knowledge of feminine. It is purifying. This lunar month is unique in what emerges, from purified feminine and masculine personal planets Venus, followed by Mercury and Mars transit over Pluto and Vesta. This astrological combination has me wondering about the cleansing and purification happening at another level, at our symbol of feet in Pisces. We can align ourselves within this energy to observe and engage with the rhythm of natural cycles. We may purify our spaces with elementals to support ourselves in this transformative energy. Walking attunement with feminine, and engaged in action with masculine, a conscious presence of tuning our energy. We are collectively preparing for birth, our rebirth. The lunar nodes in Pisces-Virgo are a reminder of our relationship between the mundane and physical world of finite matter and the infinite and our connection between this realm and all the great beyond (within). Life emerges from the dark, always, in the womb. Prepare a sanctuary for life and honoring the rhythm of the great mother. We are participating in the birth, through us.
Jupiter in Cancer retrograde at 18 degrees holds us in the container. A cosmic symbol of protection in the sign of the moon, another symbol of mother, the feminine nurturing power. Is it not interesting that Zeus, God of the Heavens in antiquity was exalted in the sign of the mother, the sign of the moon? Zeus in its greatest power, holds that great power in the sign of Cancer. She has always been the deeper truth before it was translated. Masculine designed to operate and evolve through feminine. It is graceful when we see the beauty of how awakened feminine is powerful – in all humans – and the truth of how we may observe shifts in our reality. Masculine external being enlightened by Feminine, or another way to see it as the truth of being balanced for our loving truth to emerge, present, witnessing, holding space, allowing grieving, allowing time for shedding the old and birthing the new selves of so many souls. So many souls aching to releasing the old skin. Let it flow. The great mother knows birth. We simple go within to remember.
Saturn at 27 degrees Pisces and Neptune at 29 degrees Pisces are symbols of the sifting waters in time (the wholeness of the Zodiac) and our connection to so much beyond this realm. Symbols, music, story, visions, imagination and more. While Jupiter is in Cancer, be present and IMAGINE, and CREATE. Saturn with Neptune cannot but allow for some energetic pulse to emerge in our consciousness. Saturn is conjoined with Neptune. Saturn is our experience of TIME. In Pisces the illusion of TIME can be understood in some way. Can you see it?
Uranus in Taurus (retrograde at 28 degrees) is the continuing breakdowns and breakthrough of energy locked in forms that are to change. Using our voice we belong to earth and co-create with our voice. How are you using your voice? In love or in fear? How does our logos create our reality? How do we do it together? How do we amplify it?
In Pisces it has brought us to the heights of illusion and delusion of old ideas, worn out and distorted, no longer relevant for what is on the cusp of birth. Many have given voice to the illusion and have cried in many forms for others to wake up, when truly all the voices crying out are to their mirrors, bouncing it back into their own energetic fields. Harmony is simply love in action (Mars and Venus, Aquarius is one perspective astrologically). Harmony is presence. Most humans may not but maybe the most enlightened beings on earth will know the energy that is emerging. Perhaps that is why we bear witness to a group of monks walking towards a nation’s capital. Maybe we feel that truth of love embodied, the presence and weep in reverence to it, as it exists within us. We know. We have simply played a game within a system of great distortion. Love is always the truth at the deepest parts of our being.

Mars enters Aquarius January 23rd. January 26th – Neptune makes a second entry into Aries and shifts into Aries for next 14 years. (one half of a Saturn cycle).
January 27th Moon conjoins Saturn in Pisces one last time in this long cycle.
January 31st – February 1st the Moon in Leo opposes Mars and Pluto in Aquarius. Ego confrontation for transformation from fixed ideas of Self and a process igniting for individuation.
