Sunday, September 7, 2025, a full lunar eclipse occurs at 11:09 am PDT. In Pisces the moon is with the north node, the dragon’s head with this eclipse. Sun with the south node. With this Pisces moon eclipse of our realities we may experience momentary blocks of connection to the ocean of life of the great beyond and similarly that which is within us that is mystical and reaches beyond our known reality. Pisces is our experience of it all, the last sign of the zodiac where the all is experienced, without manmade imagined borders, because truly the deepest truth is there are no barriers of our connectedness, we are each drops of ocean only a drop for a moment in time, destined to return to the ocean of everything. It might feel like more chaos than usual but that is the truth of most shifting tides when things in life have natural endings and new beginnings. Some may focus on the ending stories, where others lift their eyes to the horizon of what is emerging as the new chapter. Mutable signs, Pisces and Virgo of this eclipse are also important to consider that the nature of this moment in the cycle is that it is a heightened time of change. Consider the window of the 19 year cycle with the eclipses back in 2006 and how that ties into the themes of this moment. The 19 year Metonic cycle is important to consider when exploring eclipses. The Sabian symbol for this lunar eclipse at 16 degrees Pisces is “Finding grace in stillness” and “The flow of inspiration”, both are interpretations of the symbolism of this degree. A good reminder that the inner world creates the outer world.
This year we have the power of a slowed stationing of the planet of chaos and rebellion, Uranus, adding a lot of power and disturbance to the field of energy we all live. Uranus in Gemini is also trine with Pluto in Aquarius, the experience may include increased rebellious activities against a strict overseeing authority. Pluto is the collective transpersonal energy for transformation, Uranus is the energetic impulse to rebel, to break down, to disrupt the status quo that may be crushing the human spirit to liberate itself. It is fascinating how in our systems of creation with the planetary energies there is one planet absolutely there to LIBERATE ourselves from the things we co-create, that we build, from governments to systems, to companies, to buildings, pretty much anything that we create that becomes a cage to our free expression we have a timed planetary pulse from Uranus that helps break it down, that liberates. All is mind and all is impermanent.
Mercury in Virgo is helpful for our getting real with the minutiae of practical living. Getting organized, purging what is superfluous, storing food, sharing our abundance and mindfully planning to simplify our every day routines. Mercury in Virgo can also have a tone of judgement in our words. Words carry great power. How may you use them wisely this month? Mercury in Virgo will activate the south node of this eclipse later in the month as well on September 10-11. Themes from this eclipse may have additional insights in our work and our communications then.
Venus in Leo at this eclipse highlights the heart, and the beauty that may be revealed through our routine. That may be our daily self care routine, but it may include a daily writing habit that reveals a beauty that is within that gets to live through our creative rhythm. Venus in Leo, recently opposed to Pluto in Aquarius, has had a recent confrontation with transformation or the face-off with power that may have appeared briefly overwhelming. However, now separated from Pluto has an opportunity to shine with a renewed vitality. Venus is the planet of how we build rapport with others, attract others in our life, from friendships to romantic partners. When Venus is renewed the heart surges to create beauty in life and reconnect.
Mars in Libra at 20 degrees is in a separating square with Jupiter in Cancer. Mars in Libra can be a muted negotiation for peace in the home. Mars is the conflict that seems contained yet may surge again when it is activated. Mars energy needs action, in Libra walking along the curb while balancing is an interesting expression. The sign of Libra is one of balance, but we can also look at it as re-calibration of energy for the purpose of finding the center. Square to an exalted Jupiter in Cancer, the sign for security, nurturing, and having that expanded in our experience is where we may observe at this time how conflict that has not been properly dealt with can return frequently and keep us off balance. Mars is applying to an opposition with Chiron in Aries this week and exactly opposed on September 16th in the morning with a T-square aspect with the moon and Jupiter in Cancer. Does life require a re-calibration on something that continues to disrupt your peace at home? Consider new ways to address conflict or disturbances for greater sense of peace within your home.
Saturn in Pisces with Neptune in Aries are in their final phase before next year’s conjunction in Aries. When two planets are in the balsamic phase of their cycle things manifest in grand measures at the end of a cycle. It sets the stage for what will be in the new cycle. Both Saturn and Neptune are retrograde and retrograde. We have an emphasis on authority and the frame of the material world having a rebirth with Neptune in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. While these planets are retrograde we may observe repeating patterns that we can see how we create things collectively, for those ready to see it, that pattern of our collective creation is more visible than ever. Consciousness gives us a bit of a time burrito, folding over so we may observe ourselves from different angles, helping us see ourselves.
Uranus in Gemini, for 7 years, as a transpersonal planet is providing the energy that can bring about a breakthrough in our polarized perspectives. Gemini, the sign of the twins, is about consciousness in ways that most people do not realize its importance in our comprehending ourselves in this dimension and human experience. We have the opportunity to understand this and that difference in this dimension, a powerful illusion for our human experience. Gemini is the sign we can also equate to LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION, the breakthroughs we may have collectively in this 7 years is how we communicate on various mediums. Many humans do not realize their spirit communicates constantly and the importance of energetic frequencies. Uranus in Gemini may appear like chaos sometimes, but it has purpose within the whole. Our patterns require a disruptor so we may grow from a deeper understanding of what we have created. Stationing right now, a lot of accidents and unexpected disturbances are bound to be part of our individual and collective experience. We may be inspired to or reactively speak boldly on something we have kept silent on for some time.
Pluto in Aquarius will station direct next month around October 13, consider what is still getting revealed and what the retrograde Pluto energy is helping us see that will fade away as it demands us to transform. Pluto in Aquarius is our collective group consciousness, and many other themes including our relationship with technology, and privacy (or the lack of it). It is a long journey of Pluto in Aquarius for about 20 years. We have much to transform during this longer cycle.
During this eclipse season consider your relationship between the mystical part of life and the practical (Pisces-Virgo), how do you embed and activate spirit within your daily life rituals. There is a lot we all can do to create a more conscious reality in our every day lives, we simply need to align with the flow to release the ways we have done things in days past to a newer conscious co-creation. Life will reveal more of its magical mystery to us when we are focused on spirit, as the rest falls into the rhythm of each day. Namaste. Bless this moment.
