Digging Deeper Into our Collective Psyche To Our Warrior Archetypes

Full moon in Aries – October 6, 2025 (Oct 7, 2025 GMT)
Tuesday, October 6, 2025, 8:47:21 pm PDT we reach the full moon in Aries of this lunar cycle. This full moon brings the culmination of this lunar month from the solar eclipse that began this cycle on September 21st (at 29 degrees Virgo) with the eclipse opposite Saturn in Pisces and Mars opposite Chiron (the warrior opposed the wounded healer). This lunar month has been incredibly challenging for many, but it also has the seeds of potential for new chapters in life as we open to new energy. We can see in this month so far the escalation of frustrations in the marches that have occurred across numerous cities, especially in Europe but also in cities across the United States and other cities around the globe standing up for the rights of humans to live. At this full moon in Aries I am reminded of the warrior within all of us. I have witnessed some amazing moments of thousands of people marching below my window here in Bologna for people thousands of miles away to support their liberation from a terrible reality that has been playing out for not just two years, but for decades. It reminded me that there is hope when things can appear quite dismal and scary that love for humanity is there, many have just been so frightened or numbed into the submission or omission of their voices. Hearing the voices and watching thousands act together creates hope and demands action.
This Aries moon is a big reminder that your warrior is there, within you and it is up to us to give it oxygen when it matters the most. We had several examples of considerable bravery (the archetype of the warrior acting from love) with the recent crews of the Sumud Flotilla and having to face an armed army that was breaking international maritime law as they were intercepted with their humanitarian aid with intention to deliver to Gaza. Consider the amount of bravery it would take to take on such a mission, but then register in the same thought the amount of love that it needed that was greater within to act and move towards that goal to help others. Even in the failed attempt it gave a reprieve from armed naval forces for those onshore to fish without being watched which ultimately provided needed the people with much needed resources of life giving food. Almost like a prayer answered, but not as we thought it might be. Conflict and war are often the first things we think of when we are speaking about Mars in action, but Mars at the eclipse was square to Jupiter in Cancer, and Jupiter in Cancer has a greater reach than Mars and Jupiter in Cancer is like a saintly figure providing some sustenance for safety or nurturance. Mars entered Scorpio on September 22nd just before the Sun entered Libra at the autumnal equinox. This season will take us deeper. We must go deeper within ourselves for the warrior within, Mars gives us that symbolism at the equinox. Mercury enters Scorpio today at 9:40 am PDT, adding to the messages we can only retrieve from the depths. Wars and conflict are won with love that is greater than hate and the action and intensity of love comes from the same Mars, the archetype of the warrior. Instinct and the swift action is Aries.
This full moon Mars (ruler of Aries) is in its own sign of Scorpio (with Pluto a co-ruler of Scorpio in Evolutionary Astrology). Pluto in Aquarius is slowing down to station direct on October 13 in a few days. Pluto slowing and then stationary will heighten the death of something we all have known in the archetypes of Saturn in Pisces and through the sign of Aquarius (which can be technology, systems, allies, related to privacy and more). Saturn in Pisces with Neptune in Aries accentuates this period of time for bridges (and errors or leaks) related to whatever is being pulled together to create a new system. If released too soon it will fail swiftly. The best time for new releases will be after Saturn is separated a few degrees from Neptune after their new conjunction at the end of February 2026. So late in 2026-2027 would be similar to the new chapter coming to life and visible in our reality. For a time in the new chapter (when Saturn and Neptune are exactly aligned in a conjunction) we are in the new territory where new pioneering ideas emerge, but it is still chaos and confusion, it takes time (Saturn) to separate from the chaos and surrendering of Neptune to see what is really emerging. It is important to understand the chaos and surrendering archetypal pattern of Neptune in Aries. It has a purpose of releasing the old paradigms. Can you surf the downside of the wave? Can you hold your balance knowing where you are on the wave? There is much more that will be revealed with the outer planet Uranus entering Taurus again on November 7th. Then Uranus (rebellion/disruption) will have another level of transformational impact within the collective, each of us living into that from some angle with our natal promise through our choices and what we have desired into waking up to greater liberation. Uranus will station direct on February 3rd, 2026, at 27 degrees Taurus 28 minutes. The last few months of shake-ups on money, currencies, distribution systems, food, food supply and farmers, and earthly shakes too, potential earthquakes and volcanoes while Uranus is in Taurus. When Uranus moves forward again it will enter Gemini again on April 25, 2026. Interestingly, Venus will transit over Uranus at the very last degrees of Taurus next year in April. What an interesting cosmic timing moment that will be. The planting season begins in many places in the northern hemisphere about that time.
The new moon in Libra occurring on October 21st is at the end of the sign and brings us into an area of the zodiac that is quite challenging. It is in the area of the claws of the Scorpion. Venus will be entering the sign of Libra on October 13th around 5 hours prior to Pluto stationing direct at 1 degree of Aquarius. Libra is a sign of the arts, for the ambassador at the table negotiating terms, social activism, justice (the scales), and how we may operate more harmoniously, but we have to allow that from within us first by recalibrating our internal balance. Consider how we set a set of scales into exact balance by setting the fulcrum to set the tare. When you understand that the tare being set is critical to measuring the balance then you understand how we all must go within to set to our own center. In researching measurements and exacting it in our physical world (outer world) I came across this article by Joseph D. Martin, Scales and Balances. As you will realize in reading it, even the way we have measured something in our physical world has had a recent upgrade from our increased technology to do so. We are always fine-tuning the understanding of ourselves in the physical plane and redefining with subtle and more precise means of measurement, and I must remind of the truth of, as above, so below, as within, so without – we are refining our own inner measurement as well. Whatever is made conscious in the external world is also within us. We are evolving, but it does not always appear that way in the outer world reflected back to us immediately. We are adjusting the fulcrum and the tare of our inner world to find our zero point. It is then that it will click that we have a new balance point, a refined identity of who we really are in this world, and how we express our new awareness.
Life is often lived from what is happening “out there”, we will see a more harmonious world as we fine-tune and go deeper in the present moment of who we are and our power to create a new reality? I’m reminded that there is a reason for the season of what we are all living right now. I know many who are reading my newsletter understand the process of awakening, many understand the process comes more than once in our lives. However there are moments when our soul is invited to see and know something through experience firsthand, and that brings us a new clarity. Having gone through a dark night of the soul that brought me to astrology over 14 years ago I am reminded of not being able to see the transformation I was invited to by spirit a(my soul) and my request to see the deeper truth with all my heart in my asking. I was not prepared for how far it would take me honestly and it was a period of about 3 years from the first burst of awareness and synchronicities to the challenges that come from the shadow emerging to sift through for deeper understanding. It may be we are moving through it faster than before, the quickening I have mentioned in past writings about Uranus in Gemini in a trine aspect with Pluto in Aquarius. That could be true for many, but I am also aware of the illusion of time that is quite difficult to describe to others who may have never experienced the phenomenon of it through a lived experience.
This full moon in Aries has overtones of the need to do investigative work, digging deeper into our psyche, both individually and collectively. When we dig deeper we will see and understand more of what has been hidden from view and why. Mars in Scorpio recently square with Pluto would increase the precarious position with a frightening power. However, in the same frame, Mars in Scorpio is the fiercest and can go to the scariest places and face off with the wounded psyche (of others) and show up with the steely nerves of steel to make it through to another day. Mars in Scorpio will fight to the death if necessary. The question perhaps that is most powerful is this. What is the thing one is fighting for (or we are) with or without fear that take us to the darkest places on this Earth plane? And here is the kicker, in a world created for us to experience duality, there will always be two sides of a story. The Yin-Yang symbol reminds us of this deeper truth. So, what is each soul learning in their own evolutionary path? What are we learning in this collective play of life? I hope in all of it that the scales tip our hearts towards a greater amount and fullness of love, because as far as I know it is the strongest thing in this universe. Namaste. Bless this moment.
