A season for children and adults returning to school and higher learning routines, studying, and soon the cooler days for the northern hemisphere. The summer is fading one last weekend for many to grab extra time away before life of mundane routines give life structure and a rhythm of familiar schedules. Mutable signs are exaggerated this new moon cycle, Virgo, Gemini, and Pisces. Sagittarius also indirectly is amplified with Jupiter in Gemini. Jupiter in Gemini adds a touch of being scattered while new insights are added. Lessons from school can bring frustrations to the surface for what is expected, Mars in Gemini has passions divided yet both must be attended to and given attention to accomplish one’s goals. Untruths and accidents are sadly part of the negative energy of Mars and Jupiter in Gemini from the shadow side. Jupiter and Mars are at cross-purposes with Saturn and the Virgo new moon-Sun energy.
Mercury is retracing back through the degrees of its recent retrograde. At this new moon Mercury is in Leo at 23 degrees and 16 minutes. Mercury in Leo is squaring Uranus in Taurus adding an element of unexpected events or disruptions for someone in the spotlight. Unexpected moves or directions may lead to moments of inner reflection and pondering the question, “what is my lesson in this situation?” Mercury enters Virgo again on September 8th (Sept 9th, east coast US). There is an opportunity to learn from the recent Mercury retrograde in Leo and Virgo about the skills that make great leaders. Consider how the power that comes with being a great communicator and how that helps guide others toward a new vision. Then in reflection consider the damage that can happen with even one misplaced message that can happen when Uranus is squaring Mercury. Venus in Libra is social and with Jupiter and Mars in Gemini the conversations may be quite lively and direct. There is a desire for relationships to bring us fulfillment, harmony, and a reciprocity of love. Lovers are still tackling themes of the past at this time, with Venus at 5 degrees Libra is applying to the south node in Libra at 7 degrees 50 minutes. Leaning into our independence (Aries) is the counterpoint balance to the past themes enmeshed in codependency. There must be a balance towards interdependency. Co-dependencies in relationships will need to be released with leaning into growth and self-reflection. If this is not done through individual free will choice the relationship and individuals will suffer from greater restrictions of self expression and face a failure with deeper cuts into the connection that stress it into release point.

Pluto re-entered Capricorn on September 1st. It will station direct on October 11th at 29 degrees 38 minutes.
