March 21, 2023, a new moon in Aries start off this month at the Aries Point, and that detail is extraordinary for a new cycle! Indeed this month, this week hold many important shifts for us and this includes Pluto entering Aquarius on March 23rd, this coming Thursday – Jupiter’s day. With Jupiter in Aries the sign of pioneering energy we can expect significant expansion for the Pluto cycle, but it will come with a bit of a delay as Pluto by transit will be back and forth from Aquarius and back to Capricorn through November of 2024 before finally staying in Aquarius.
This new moon in Aries is showing the movement toward dynamic quickening growth as it will within a day make conjunctions with Mercury at 5 degrees Aries and Jupiter at 16 degrees Aries. Jupiter activates exponential growth quickly. The conjunction of Moon and Jupiter is tomorrow around 1:16 pm PDT when Mercury is on the midheaven with the Sun. It may be a moment where instincts are engaged for a fast response as well. I also think if there is challenged by Mars in any natal chart with the relationship between Mars and Mercury there is a strong potential for that to be engaged over these next few days too, as part of a pattern to observe. The curious question may be to ask yourself is, “What am I to learn from this pattern?” Yesterday I asked myself a similar question with my flat tire, that today I will take my punctured tire to be repaired or completely replaced depending on what I learn from those who are knowledgeable about tires. I was reminded that I have help, I have people who love me that I simply only need to ask for it and it is there. It may sound trivial but my tire going flat in such a unique way (not being stranded and making it all the way home before it deflated) is an opportunity to be reminded of love and support. I wasn’t stranded or inconvenienced much.
Mercury at 5 Aries is in mutual reception with Mars at 28 degrees Gemini. In a few days, Mars will finally leave the sign of Gemini to enter the sign of Cancer on Saturday, March 25th. It will be a long-awaited shift for many. Mars has been in Gemini since August 20, 2022. When Mars enters Cancer, traditional astrology notes this as a place where Mars is in fall. I understand that viewpoint, but I also look at Mars in Cancer as a feminine archetype in highly sensitized protective mode. That image resonates for me with a way energy may express, and it is dynamic being that it will have sharp starts and stops of energy, as things drop in rather quickly or leave just the same. When Mars enters Cancer it will be in a flowing trine aspect with Saturn. I think of the spiritual master guiding the feminine archetype in the use of their masculine energy. Another way to look at it is in the face of danger or great caution, what would love to do?
Many men in our society know the role of protecting the feminine, it is often projected as well from a young age. There is something to learn in allowing the space for the feminine archetype to know they are empowered to protect without shame or guilt for engaging their Mars energy within. We are healing wounds of the past for the oppression of women related to their instinctual knowing and protection capacity. Women are natural protectors and are fierce as bears when provoked, we simply have to remove our judgment from wherever that is within us that would shame that natural instinct and not allow it or give it space to breath. And we also have the opportunity to give the masculine the opportunity to be gentle and nurturing. This is a reminder of our balancing the two principles of feminine and masculine.
Jupiter will be in the sign of Aries for less than a month. Jupiter is heading towards the sign of Taurus and makes the ingress on May 16th. We have a few weeks of opportunity to engage the fire element and expand our lives in dynamic waves with our choices and decisions. What will you do to support your life with this energy? Consider how you grow and how Jupiter in Aries compliments your own natal Jupiter by sign. How is Jupiter in Aries in relationship to your natal Jupiter? Or to any other planet? Your unique lens of perception grows through the lens of that knowing. And that is as simple as learning it through an astrology reading. And you can learn astrology as well to expand your own conscious understanding of yourself and what is the unconscious you relate with and what planet reveals that for you? Your own map is your mandala, which is your astrology and gaining insights from that insight in time again and again, the knowledge of yourself would be undeniable and profound. In that knowing you would absolutely have insights to transform yourself in the expansion.
Saturn in Pisces is the shape of water, the emotion that finds the container. The question is, “is this the right container to hold my emotional body?” We may find that some containers are not as adaptable, so we may search for a solution that will have that capacity to hold yet be flexible. You are the container, the above is simply metaphor to illustrate you may find that how our conditioned mind is may require discipline in a practice to assist our growth in its flexibility. It requires some time in solitude to find and engage this discipline, that is important to know our own mind, without that choice to observe in solitude you may not discover this insight.
Uranus in Taurus at 16 degrees continues to break-up old patterns in the earth modality. It is energy that pentrates the labyrinth that breaks a pattern. We may see or experience it in a direct way, but it also may be indirect for you to learn something as a witness. The energy of Uranus is to disrupt for there is something new that will emerge after the energy is directed in time and space. Uranus is such an exacting planet we observe in transits. We astrologers know it is precise in what it does so we often will “turn the chart” to speak to this dynamic to introduce the awareness to someone in a first reading. It is precise and can help breakthrough old patterns. It is our judgement of whatever emerges that comes from whatever manifests. It may be a real opportunity to expand our consciousness in how we consider the breakthrough or what seemingly looks like chaos of Uranus. It is always our point of understand and perception. Astrologers know we may not realize the how we channel it, but we have in this small example, we understand its precision and that it is the highest energetic impulsed energy and how we dial it in to observe probabilities.
Neptune in Pisces at 25 degrees is the planetary impulse of dissolution and where we may experience the lens of disillusionment. When we are experiencing disillusionment we are realizing that something is not what we thought or believed it to be. So there is a truth in that we projected our idea and the truth was something else. I think the story of the farmer whose son falls from a horse and breaks his leg illustrates the idea of how we may project out something as positive or negative. And if we did project a frame of reference and it was not the case, I can clearly see how we would end up disappointed. But in the act of not judging something as positive or negative it is just a flow. You can revisit this story here. I appreciate that Neptune is another way that we may consider the pattern and that it helps us return to our natural state, we are always in process, in flow, we are always connected. I have always loved this simple story, but this is a beautiful reminder. If you prefer Alan Watts narration of the Zen story it is here.
Recently I’ve been learning so much from polymath Robert Edward Grant. His work is amazing and insightful about our perception and our divinity. I highly recommend his series Code X on Gaia or Amazon Prime. He also has numerous videos on YouTube and has been a guest on numerous podcasts. In the last 3 to 4 days I’ve been soaking up his knowledge and appreciating his wisdom. One nugget of his teachings is the relationship between mathematics and music and what they reveal about our precision with accurate Performance Tuning. He speaks of and shows in his first presentation on Code X. The alpha chi omega. Check out this video of Robert in 2019 presenting at the CPAK XI in October 2019, Conference on Precession and Ancient Knowledge. Especially from timestamp 41:41 to the end of the video, but I encourage to watch the entire presentation. The description he shares about waves rippling out (pebble drop into water expanded) and how they collide and create geometry the constants emerge out from their prime counterparts (the primes give birth to the constants). Robert is giving us such an elegant way to see the complex math and the music (waves) of that beautiful mysterious number ONE. And with that, I cannot help but be amazed even more by the story (films) of The Matrix with the leading character NEO, which is an anagram of the word ONE. I love films, so I cannot help but share that little nugget here.
Pluto is the biggest planetary shift this week, this month, this year, and this decade. When Pluto shifts signs we are evolving towards a new point of transformation. I want to remind all readers of this that Pluto moves slowly, so it may have an event to show the ingress but it is a real process over time and we only in reflection understand the significance of that change. That caterpillar doesn’t realize at first that by folding into the cocoon will not emerge as another caterpillar, it will be completely transformed. We have 21 months until November 2024, the month when Pluto will stay in Aquarius and the journey of Pluto through Capricorn will be complete for another 248 years. This period of time is massive for us all in our understanding of what Pluto through Capricorn has helped us see and understand about our world that is framed in status, structures, and systems of power. We are learning about our own power. I am remembering that what we judge will be what we do not accept or acknowledge is a part of ourselves. I know we each have our lens of perspective, but it is such a challenge to not judge that which is different than our point of view. I’m in that space of awareness between awesome reverence and the humility of knowing that “other” or 7th house may be “a committed love” but it is a known enemy as well, and at the same time the other is a human being that is another aspect of God, conscious of it or not, and even more that awareness of ONE in the many. The ONE light through the prism reveals the rainbow of color, also waves, and geometry.
I share this blog to support others in discovering themselves, and their deeper truth through the language of astrology and other esoteric mysteries with invitations to look deeper. May this spring and new moon bless your awakenings now. Namaste. Bless this moment.
