We have an Aries New Moon, March 31, 2022, at 11:24:15 pm PDT, with Chiron conjoining this new moon at 12 degrees 18 minutes, as I write this just thirty minutes after the new moon as I was not feeling inspired earlier to find the words that I desired to write. In the Tri-Cities where I live (and the west coast) the sign rising is Scorpio at 26 degrees 53 minutes, with Jupiter and Neptune at 21 and 23 degrees Pisces in a flow to the Ascendant of the new moon moment. Mars the ruler of both Aries and Scorpio intensified as it squares the Ascendant of this new moon chart and is applying to Saturn in its own sign of Aquarius at 22 degrees. It’s going to be a most challenging month ahead with these squared energies amplified by Mars and Saturn. Perhaps you may find ways that you can work with the energy to do something that requires your keen focus and may need restoration. Venus in the new moon chart is in late degrees Aquarius, with just a few days until it exits the sign. Venus squares the Ascendant/Descendant angles at 25 degrees Aquarius 21 minutes. Is there an obstacle to authentic voices? Is it a bit more dangerous in this energy to be different than the crowd? It appears that way for some, as fear may run higher than usual, and deep feelings surface that seem long overdue to find their way to expression.
The south node of the moon is within 2 degrees of the Ascendant and the north node of the moon in Taurus opposite. Mars in the third house of perception, communication, local travel does seem a bit precarious for trains and car travel. Communications and group events, especially local events, your neighborhood may have new group events but consider being distanced as well, there is a wide-open door for too much exposure. Mars in Aquarius applies to the Ascendant of the new moon chart, but more importantly, Mars applying to Saturn is significant for anyone with 22 degrees of Aquarius in the nativity. Monday even around 6:30 pm PDT, Mars exacts its conjunction with Saturn at 22 degrees 24 minutes. A good time to be authentic and engage in pursuits with friends or a group that challenges your mind and put your focus on something that is forward-thinking or intensely cerebral. Learning something technical or even astrology is one way to align with the energy that day.
Venus enters Pisces on Tuesday, April 5th at 8:17:29 am PDT. A pleasant shift away from the sign of Saturn and into her own exaltation. A noticeable shift on Tuesday has the potential to wash over us and provide us with a refreshed perspective, if not a new faith in something that bonds us together in this complex world. Change is the constant in our earthly lives, but we are wise to relish the moments of reprieve when they flow. The most significant flow event this month is the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction on April 12th at 23 degrees Pisces. How will you open to the energy that is so rare? I find myself drifting in the coming energy now with Jupiter so close and building to that conjunction in 12 days. I find myself playing with my art journal, reviewing photographs I have taken, and pondering more subtle connections to the realms I cannot see with my eyes but those that I feel. The Jupiter-Neptune conjunction is happening in my 12th house and will be opposite my natal Pluto in Virgo and square to my natal Sun in Sagittarius. I cannot help but wonder about themes of my own beliefs, my inspirations for what I teach or may teach, and how what I have come to know over the course of my life so far may surface something of unique importance for me in this coming month, even the coming few months. As is often the case, with this much energy flowing in my 12th house, a sign that Jupiter and Neptune co-rule, it really connects me to the energy of the collective of society and that is usually an overwhelming combination.
Dreams can be helpful for my clarity on what is important right now at least for me as an observer and what I may focus on in my daily life. I do not know yet why, but mediums seem to be a bit more in the foreground. Though something I have been fascinated with as a subject I’ve read or sought in videos to observe, I wonder about the subtle energy that mediums register in their experiences that pull images, impressions, and insights from other realms to this one. Perhaps it is nothing more than my curious mind. I am also in a 5th house annual profection (Traditional Astrology) year through December 17th this year, which with Leo as the sign of my 5th house has the Sun as the Lord of the Year, which in my natal chart in the 9th house. My daughter is opening up new doors this year, training to be a lifeguard. Over spring break she will be doing her classwork and by the end of next week should be official. It is a year she may get her first job as a lifeguard, something she’s always dreamed of doing. I wonder about the complexity of the transiting Jupiter-Neptune energy with both Pluto opposite and my Sun square to it. As I am likely to have surgery in the next few months it is rather sobering to surrender to what I do not control, merely that I take responsibility for my own health. It may be that I may take a break from my writing, but in all honesty, I do not know yet and I am simply going with the tides and see where it takes me. May this month you see with new eyes your connection to other realms and how they inform you that you are participating in something mystical and grander than you have yet known, and in that awareness, you settling into a rhythm that supports your own dreams.
