Lunar Eclipse Full Moon – November 30, 2020, at 1:30 am PST
Stay in Touch and Write a Few Letters
We have a lunar eclipse at 8 degrees Gemini 38 minutes at this full moon, occurring at 1:30 am PST November 30, 2020. Stay up late Sunday, hopefully, you will get clear skies without cloud cover to see this lunar eclipse. Oftentimes we see the manifestations of the coming eclipses in the week prior to the actual moment of the eclipse. I will share a few of these examples in this newsletter. We are in the final weeks of 2020, and I am sure most of us are more than ready for it to be done and something of the past.
Since the new moon on November 15th at 23 degrees Scorpio 18 minutes, we have been building towards this full moon lunar eclipse. This moment in time will be remembered as quite sobering with the pandemic still front and center of our experience. Billions in social distancing, wearing masks, quarantined until probably spring until we get a break from the ever-climbing numbers of cases with those infected by covid-19. It has been increasingly difficult for millions of people as they navigate unemployment, decreased patrons of their physical businesses. These times call for longer meditations and time in prayer. It also calls for courage, taking action where you can to support another human being to ease their suffering. Life is too short to not bring out your strengths in kindness in acts of goodwill and simple compassion. At the end of the day, I think that’s where life finds new roots. Faith is rekindled, and hope is extended.
I know I write of these themes often, but I think they matter so much to humans. I remember clearly the times in my life when I suffered because my life had been turned upside down from economies shrinking, unemployment, or trying to navigate my early life trauma that seemed to come up from the depths of my mind like loud monsters in my mind. I managed to find my way back to my center, to my core self because others along my path showed me love and support. Oftentimes, they had no idea how impactful their gift to me was in those moments. I repeat this as often as I can because it is truly one of the simplest things we can do to love and support each other. Small acts of kindness, in service to another human heart that we know or not, can be lifted by our awareness of them.
This lunar eclipse in the sign of Gemini is tied to communication, perception, our immediate environment, siblings, and local travel. It may appear in individual experiences is lost notes, forgotten phone numbers, long lost love letters, or even car accidents from driver errors in judgment. Do not fall asleep at the wheel, your actions need your focused and alert mind when you are in public. How can you spread love in your community right now? Who do you see that is suffering? What small act of kindness will brighten their day? What earthly resources are you sharing that lift their soul reminding them God-Goddess is abundant? It is always up to us, come rain or shine, eclipses or not, to be the loving energy that heals. Most everyone has the capacity to do one small thing. And the beauty of that, when woven together turns out to be no small thing at all.
Neptune has just gone direct at 4:30 pm PST on November 28th as I write this newsletter, and it is square the lunar nodes at 20 degrees Gemini/Sagittarius (mean node/19 degrees for true node). Your intuition and psychic energies may feel as if someone turned on the firehose. Dreams may feel magical and mysterious this week. Perhaps Mercury in Scorpio has underworld messages for you depending on what lies beneath the surface in your unconscious mind that is bubbling up for your conscious to net. Reflect on Mercury in Scorpio as the Psychopomp, where is the Messenger guide taking you?
The moon within range for this to be an eclipse at 8 degrees 38 minutes Gemini and the Sun in Sagittarius exactly opposite. I am certain there is a rather loud ache missing our times of meeting up with friends, having a drink, sharing food together enjoying each other’s company. It would be unwise this year of course, as we wait out the storm. The storm of covid-19 will fade, in 2021 we will see the peaks of the cases dwindle again, but truly we are in the eye of the hurricane at this moment. Mars in transit at 16 degrees 55 minutes Aries is applying to square Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn again. This will be hard felt the week of December 13th until Saturn enters Aquarius on December 16th, though Mars still packs a punch in the square with Jupiter and Pluto even that week. There will be a noticeable shift of energy as Saturn re-enters Aquarius on December 16th at 9:04 pm PST.
Those who have been in their Saturn return with Saturn in Capricorn may be found dancing in the streets that night. What is important to keep in mind from the lunar eclipse to the solar eclipse (November 30th through December 14th) is the real-world experience of the-end-of-the-chapter kind of manifestations in your own natal and transits astrology where Capricorn is in your chart. It is a good time to write these experiences, feelings, and thoughts that you have now, lessons learned, to what you have overcome. Capricorn time-earned kind of closure for what you have endured in the past three years.
This lunar eclipse may prompt you to language these experiences for future viewing and reflection. Journals are an incredible resource when you do any self-reflective work in astrology. We truly appreciate I think how far we have grown only when we have in our own words where we have been, the feelings, the perceptions, the suffering, and the eventual knowledge and wisdom gained through experience and time. Mercury in Scorpio and Venus as well, the collective urge is for deep bonds, close relationships.
At this full moon lunar eclipse, take the time to write in your journal. Write to your friends or send them messages that really speak to their importance in your growth and mental well-being. A quote by Liz Carpenter perfectly states, “What a lot we lost when we stopped writing letters. You can’t reread a phone call.” It is a good reminder we get to choose what we leave for our legacy. Would you not want it to include beautifully written messages to your friends? Who loves the stories have exchanges of letters and messages that communicate parts of the overall story that connects the heart of long-married couples, or parents missing their children, friends that become lovers? Perhaps this seems rather romantic, but truly these heartfelt notes carry our bonds across time. There is no better time than now to write amazing, heartfelt messages than this year. One by one, watch your pen to paper light up hearts. You will feel the love when you see the ink flow onto the page, it has been the way we communicate at distances for eons.
Namaste. Bless this moment.
