Thursday, May 13th, Jupiter, our 5th planet from the sun and greater benefic for all born with the Sun above the horizon, enters Pisces. Pisces is a sign it rules (traditional) and co-rules (modern). Either way, you view it, Jupiter’s ingress into Pisces has been long-awaited by many. This ingress into Pisces takes Jupiter beyond the grip of Saturn in Aquarius. Is it all jolly? Well, not necessarily — but it does bring us closer to our emotional connections, closer to our great love of the arts, and movies (films), concerts, so many things will open up once again, and so many other things that we humans find enjoyable about being alive.
Jupiter in Pisces, its been over 11 years since it left this sign (the day Jupiter was in Pisces was January 22nd, 2011). Jupiter was in Pisces between January 18, 2010, to June 6, 2010, and then back into Pisces from September 9, 2010, to January 22, 2011. At that time Uranus was also in Pisces, which made for some unexpected life turns. What did you experience during that time?
The last time Jupiter was in Pisces, I was discovering astrology. Bought my first book that summer in July 2010 and massive changes in my life were unfolding which would put me on the path of where I am today. So many changes happened for me then that it will take a small book to share them all.
This time, I am a mother with a teenager, who has some key planets in Pisces — her North Node and Uranus. Uranus in her 8th (Placidus) and North Node in her 9th house. Jupiter in her chart is in Scorpio, in her 4th house, with 4 other planets. The water element is where she shines. She has the gift of rich symbolism in her dreams that reveals so much to her at a young age. I did not realize this for myself until I was much older in my thirties. Her dreams reveal many things to her in undeniable symbolism. I’ve taught her to keep a dream journal, to write them down, which helps bring it more into the physical world to consider the images, the feelings, the colors, connecting the dots of a story or theme that has much to teach and reveal letting the symbolism unfold. Our mother-daughter time is often spent going over a dream or two she had while with her father. I knew Sydney was clairvoyant when she was three, in the summer of 2010 — interesting! Though after about age six they seemed to subside for a while. Then when she was about 11 or 12, she started having dreams and they were a-m-a-z-i-n-g what it was revealing for her. She now has one notebook filled with dreams she has had since then (now age 14) and in her own writing with my guidance breaking them down to integrate the meanings for what was happening in her life then. Messages from the great beyond, specially made in her dream state just for her. It has strengthened her awe of the universe, her soul, spirit, animal messengers, and nature that it has something to share with her. Dreams and our imaginations are sure to be overflowing with new visions as Jupiter moves into Pisces.

Those with Jupiter in Leo it is inconjunct (150 degrees) which has a harder time seeing eye-to-eye there’s some kind of rub. For folks with Jupiter in Libra, it is inconjunct (six signs away) so again there will be a challenge to balance something. Social justice voices can be harder to hear because of some other noise that surfaces from the depths (Pisces + Neptune). Fixed Air Aquarius natal Jupiter folks might be sad their Jupiter return is over. We all experience planets by our natal position of each planet (house and sign), the houses the planet rules and what is activated and amplified to manifest in our lives, and also through transits the planet activates aspects with other planets in our chart or by transits or progressions. Consider your birth chart where is Pisces? Where is Sagittarius? These are the signs Jupiter rules. But we all have a specific sign for Jupiter and that paints the way it operates for us individually.
