Happy Spring Equinox! Today is March 20, 2022, the Sun entered Aries at 8:33:30 am PDT. It is the first day of spring, but for some this feels like the first day of the year. Happy International Astrology Day! Many festivals around the world mark the Sun entering the sign of Aries. In the Pacific Northwest, the Aries ingress chart has Taurus rising at that moment, at 11 degrees 2 minutes. The planet Uranus was just about to rise as well at 12 degrees 20 minutes. This will be an interesting year related to resources, money markets, food, distribution of goods, anything related to beauty, and earth as well. With Mars at 10 degrees, 46 minutes of Aquarius applying to a square with Uranus and square the Ascendant in the Aries ingress chart, this archetypal energy that holds for the entire year as a symbolic reference is rather revolutionary and quite full of unexpected turns. Venus at 13 degrees 26 minutes Aquarius on the 11th house cusp also square the Ascendant and Uranus will be interesting to see what happens this year in women’s groups, collectively this symbolism is roaring for changes as both Venus and Mars in Aquarius are voices of change for human rights, for group consciousness with a compelling message about authentic voices and the right of individuals within the context of the whole. Is this a moment of revolutionary beginnings? The archetypes seem to point us in that direction.
The transiting north node is in Taurus and the south node in Scorpio, the north node in the first house of the Aries ingress with the intention for us to consider peace, stability, and building something that works for these themes. South node in Scorpio is the underworld process that we may have to go through or at least examine the potentials and the release back to the energy that is always flowing. Saturn in Aquarius is square the lunar nodes, there are fixed ideas that are being challenged in order for us to grow as humans. Consider themes of our relationship with technology, what authorities and deciding for us as a collective and is it really the best path for humanity and our earth that gives us life. The symbolism is rather harsh for us to really decide how we act to realize the stability and peace that is ours if we take action and collectively make some noise to ensure that happens. Venus and Mars are square to Uranus in the Aries ingress and are positioned to do so within the collective.
Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune in Pisces bring an abundance of humanity, the potential of numerous souls finding or sharing faith in something bigger than their individual lives. The potential for miracles of connections and unseen threads bring people together and towards new beginnings, there is an upswell of feeling and emotion. Is it because something dissolves that is ready to be let go? There is potential. The Sun in the 12th house makes me wonder about all the invisible helpers, especially in times of great need. There are millions of people presently being displaced, so I do wonder about all the souls that are helping and we do not have awareness of all the stories of people rising to the occasion and being of service to others in need. It seems so potent within this Aries ingress. The Moon in Libra is full, at 29 degrees and 53 minutes, a moon that seeks balance and harmony, but also within Libra is social justice woven in the symbolism. This Libra Moon in the Aries ingress is like an Ambassador working diligently towards justice, but the ultimate is peace and long-lasting peace. After all, the Sabian symbol for 30 Libra is: Three mounds of knowledge on a philosopher’s head. Blain Bovee notes this as, “This is an expression of bringing knowledge together in a balanced, harmonious way: heaven, earth, and man… an accordance of all things.”
Pluto in Capricorn at 28 degrees 12 minutes is in a trine aspect with the lunar north node in Taurus. A transformation that leans towards peace. Together we create the changes that open that reality. A transformative year, that requests doing the work that allows for the honey, the harmony of life to flow. Bless this moment. Namaste.
