March 18, 2022, at 12:18 am PDT, the moon reaches fullness in the earth sign of Virgo at 27 degrees 40 minutes. Illuminated by a Pisces Sun separating from a conjunction with Neptune at 23 degrees 3 minutes and Jupiter at 18 degrees 2 minutes and Mercury at 13 degrees 33 minutes Pisces. This Pisces stellium creates an abundance of dreamy energy that is in a trine and easy flow (no obstacles) with the south node in Scorpio which sits at the Ascendant for our full moon timing here in the Pacific Northwest. In other time zones, the Ascendant may be different. Positively this opens us to divine energy a possible awareness of our connections beyond this dimension of time and space, synchronicity and dreams may reveal deep truth if you are ready to grasp their symbolism. Negatively, escaping to numb from the excessive suffering unfolding for millions in the world without acknowledging what you can do or are able to do to stay centered. We always have a choice, even when things are beyond our immediate control, it is always how we respond moment to moment. Take a moment, go within, listen, what is available to you from a higher point of view?
With Mars in Aquarius at 9 degrees and Venus at 11 degrees 9 minutes, both planets are applying to a square with Uranus in Taurus. First will be Venus very near now within a degree and Mars within 3 degrees. This is a challenging energy as Uranus is unexpected events and within fixed signs can be rather startling with there’s a surprising change due to the masculine expression and decided rebellion of Mars energy and Venus that opens doorways to new friendships and commitments in Aquarius, but with a twist of something that is connected to groups or a collective body of forward ideas.
This Moon is inconjunct (energy that doesn’t quite fit together and creates discord) and Saturn in Aquarius The moon located in Virgo is in a handle of a bucket splay of planets within the full moon chart, which reveals its emphasis of opposing energy patterns between mutable Virgo and Pisces. The Virgo full moon aspects via a trine with the North Node in Taurus, a considerate flow from the reflective light of the moon and fixed earth Taurus, where we collectively fully embrace a heightened desire for peace, stability, and a grounded connection with our environment our place we feel secure.
Mars and Saturn sandwich Venus, the ruler of Taurus, thus making the desire for peace a lot more challenging to realize. Venus will conjoin Saturn in a week and a few days on March 28th around 12:18 PDT, as Venus moves out of the orb from Saturn and then eventually into Pisces there may be a chance towards peace. Maybe. Mars is still close, and still, a lot of energy will be expressed as Mars moves to make its conjunction with Saturn, starting a new phase for these two planets for the next 2 years. Interestingly when Venus moves past Saturn, the Moon is just beyond the Venus-Saturn conjunction, and Mars, Saturn, Venus, and the Moon create a significant stellium in Aquarius on March 28th. This full moon holds a lot of energy that within the shifting mutable sign of Virgo and Mercury within Pisces over the next three days as Mercury makes its conjunction with Jupiter and then three days later conjoins Neptune. There will be confusion, losses for some, and then turning to faith, rather than logic. In the midst of that, the Sun will make its ingress into Aries on March 20th at 8:34 am PDT, the moment of the Spring Equinox in the Northern hemisphere. A unique moment for an Aries ingress, for the west coast of the United States and Canada the chart has Uranus in Taurus on the Ascendant, square the midpoint of Venus and Mars, truly marking a within the symbolism a challenging year ahead for progressive change. The moon will be at the critical degree in Libra the sign of social justice. Saturn makes a trine aspect, although the moon in Libra is separating from this aspect with Saturn in Aquarius, there is a pointed emphasis on finding BALANCE and PEACE.
Saturn squares the lunar nodes of the Aries ingress chart is definitely a point in time this year where progressive changes and new ideas are a bit in the cross-hairs, collectively we will have some major humanitarian hurdles. The question is – will we make them in time or will we fall backward? Will there be a collective disappointment in leaders of the world, and faith lost? Jupiter applies to Neptune in Pisces both in a trine aspect with the North Node in the penetrating sign of Scorpio. As Jupiter conjoins Neptune on April 12th is that a moment of a massive flow over boundaries? Is it surrendering to “what is” that is presented in a larger perspective for us all?
It flows both ways because truly humans are at varying levels of consciousness, some will experience great losses and surrender with grief to process, some may experience an acknowledgment of a losing situation and surrender, some may surrender to God, the Goddess and connect with a higher dimensional reality, some may escape into a substance or a habitual pattern that is a coping mechanism because too much is flowing within their awareness to process it all at once. Each of us will have unique experiences, some may depend on key decisions an authority will have that impacts our lives, and some perhaps experience things that “get out of hand” or beyond some point for turning back – so the very nature of the next thing is a path towards new life after a “wipeout” of something that felt or seemed permanent and more enduring. Whatever way we look through the lens of what is unfolding it will be an interesting time with a lot of swiftly changing circumstances. And with Mercury in Pisces, I think a lot of decisions for what comes next will be made based on FAITH.
Pluto at 28 degrees Capricorn is still in a trine aspect with the North Node in Taurus where transformational change has an opportunity to find a new foundation, where seeds for a new life can be planted. Given this moment in time, I’m planting seeds of change in my small world, knowing that in time I will see new leaves appear and I will have a sense of that new idea taking form, still fresh, but within the right environment, they will grow. I hope you all have seeds you are focusing your attention on at this time. The world truly needs your creative and supportive energy for the new life that your loving attention brings forward. It is always a good time to plant a garden, plant a tree, create a brainstorm for new projects ready to be birthed. Life is a flow of cycles within cycles, the moon cycle is one way we learn this across the seasons of a year. Bless this moment. Namaste.
