The sun has entered Taurus as of April 19th 1:27 PM PDT. As a fixed energy we’ll find a new calm after Aries. Mercury is keeping us on our toes though still retrograde and re-entering Aries today around 9:37 AM PDT, kicking up dust from where he was about mid March. Increase mental stimulation as well as the conjunction with the sun can bring a day of fast talkers and walkers, beware if you prefer to be more inwardly focused. Pluto is stationing retrograde in Capricorn at 19 degrees 24 minutes which will be there revisiting through 16 degrees 51 minutes through September 28th when he stations direct. Pluto is such a slow moving planet that it doesn’t have the same influence that an inner planet like Mercury or Venus has while retrograde. It’s good to know what house Pluto is moving through as you may re-visit themes you’ve felt were finished. It’s also advantageous to know when Pluto is exacting an aspect with a natal planet (or transit, progressions too), as this may bring new insights from the depths of your subconscious, new tension and even new obstacles to maneuver through as they perfect. Pluto’s ultimate influence is to completely transform whatever he touches and moves through, and in tandem Uranus brings in something new to consider.
Right now, Jupiter is in Libra also in retrograde back to 13 degrees on June 9th. It has already squared Pluto in Capricorn recently, but it will again August 4th at 17 degrees Libra 32 minutes, which will give us additional insights into how we are dealing with social injustice and the powers of government, as well as social life and friendships and work-life balance that may be needing our attention once again. Mercury will move direct on May 3rd at 9:33 pm PDT at 24 degrees 16 minutes of Aries, acting like a trigger with Uranus in Aries near at 25 degrees 31 minutes. Mars is still in Taurus through April 22nd before ingress into Gemini. Mars in Gemini will have mutual reception with Mercury that day, so it will be a lively day for mental stimulation. Brainstorming might good task to take on that day for a bucket of new ideas to work with later. Venus is still retracing steps she had traversed in her retrograde period and will re-enter Aries on April 28th, two days after our New Moon in Taurus on the 26th, which I’ll write on in more detail the day prior. Until then, enjoy the new grounded earthy energy of Taurus. Namaste
